SPECIFICATION 1. TITLE OF THE INVENTION: SADDLE TYPE WHEELED VEHICLE FOR OFF-ROAD SERVICES 2. ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A saddle-type vehicle serviceable for the operation on the irregular and uneven ground, wherein the both inner end portions of suspension arm portions of a pair of rear suspension arm assemblies are connected pivotally to the rear part of a main frame of the vehicle, having the suspension arm portions connected operatively at their middle points to the lower end of shock absorber, and having the rear end portion of the arm portions of the suspension arm assemblies disposed at a higher and/or inner position than the front end portion of the arm portions. Also, this invention is related to the provi- sion of a saddle type vehicle serviceable on the irregular ground of the type including a main frame comprised of a pair of lower tubes connected rigidly with a correspond- ing pair of upper tubes by way of connecting members, a pair of suspension arm assemblies comprised of front and rear arm portions, and holding members for holding pivotally the front and rear arm portions of the suspen- sion arm assemblies for rear wheels of the vehicle, wherein the pair of lower tubes are formed at their midway portions such that the portion where there are provided holding members for the front arm portions of the suspension arm assemblies may be directed in the same direction as that of swing axes of the suspension arm assemblies, and wherein the connecting members are formed at their midway portions in such an arcuate manner that the portion where there are provided holding members for the rear arm portions of the suspension arm assemblies may become narrower than the portion where there are provided holding members for the front arm portions of the suspension arm assemblies. Also, the invention concerns with a saddle-type vehicle for the operation on the irregular ground wherein the connecting members are placed in close contact with each at their midway portions, and a saddle-type vehicle wherein the holding members for the rear arm portions of the suspen- sion arm assemblies mounted on the connecting members are disposed at a position substantially higher than that of the holding members for the front arm portions of the suspension arm assemblies provided on the lower tubes. - 2 -
