The product I would like to patent is a fitted lid atop the standard ice-cube tray. The lid may be permanently attached or detachable. An attached lid prevents the consumer from misplacing the lid, and also prevents the frustrations of assembling the two pieces every time. The closing mechanism would be a folding piece rather than screws or hinges. Thin will prevent the lid from freezing shut. The fastening mechanism should be as simple as one to several raised pieces on the inside closing flap. This will allow for a quick snap to open and close the lid. A fitted lid serves two main purposes: to protect against unwanted foreign particles that may be found as detrimental to the health of consumers, and ; to better accommodate stacking one ice-cube tray on top of another.
