Like "sonar" and "reverse sonar", the present invention is a safety feature for safe reversing of an automobile that automatically engages the brake in a reversing vehicle, independently or along with any of the said "sonar" and "reverse sonar" warnings, as soon as or a little sooner than it is unsafe for the vehicle to reverse any farther at its then speed without overrunning the object in danger even if the driver manually puts the brake on then. This eliminates any unsafe reversing due to driver error, such as, inattention, slow reaction time, etc.. A manual override may be added.
