A safeguard element for playing golf or other sports requiring such protection comprising a set of two units, one for each leg, of waterproof textile material and suitably shaped to adapt to the player's legs, over the shoe to the bottom of the calf; secured to the leg at the back in line with the Achilles tendon, using attachment devices such as velcro, removable adhesive, zips, hooks and eyes, ribbons or combinations thereof and also able to be simply sewn on to a pair of trousers, overall or the like, as an integral part.
