An asphalt kettle that reduces the risks of injuries for the operator when loading in cold asphalt. The kettle has an asphalt tank mounted on a trailer assembly. The asphalt tank has. two longitudinal walls each extending along a plane inclined outwardly from the kettle. This allows for an easier access to the tank and reduces the risk of burns by hot asphalt splashes for the operator.
