A safety terminal (10) comprises a number of longitudinal segments (12a, 12b, 12c...) provided with elongated slots and fastened together in such a way as to be capable of sliding longitudinally over one another, with consequent absorption of energy, each segment being supported by an upright or post (18a, 18b,...) made up of two half-posts connected together by breakable means having a preset breaking strength, the bottom half-post being burried in the ground; the said terminal moreover comprises a cable (30) between the bottom half-post (18') of the end post (18) and the top half-post (18") of the adjacent post, the said cable (30) comprising a breakable plate having a preset breaking strength. Preferably the headpiece of the terminal comprises a restraining frame extended from a plate orthogonal to the longitudinal extent of the terminal. The new terminal enables good absorption of impact energy of a possible vehicle, whilst at the same time requiring reasonable costs for restoring.
Une partie terminale (10) de barrière de sécurité comprend une pluralité de segments longitudinaux (12a, 12b, 12c, ...) qui comportent des fentes allongées et qui sont fixés ensemble de manière à pourvoir glisser longitudinalement les uns sur les autres, ceci leur permettant d'absorber de l'énergie, chaque segment étant supporté par un poteau vertical (18a, 18b, ...) lui-même constitué de deux demi-poteaux reliés ensemble par un dispositif frangible présentant une résistance à la rupture prédéterminée, le demi-poteau inférieur étant enterré dans le sol. La partie terminale comprend également un câble (30) situé entre le demi-poteau inférieur (18') du poteau terminal (18) et le demi-poteau supérieur (18'') du poteau adjacent, ledit câble (30) comportant une plaque frangible présentant une résistance à la rupture prédéterminée. L'élément de terminaison de la partie terminale comprend de préférence une structure de retenue qui s'étend depuis une plaque située perpendiculairement à la longueur de la partie terminale. Cette nouvelle partie terminale assure une bonne absorption de l'énergie résultant d'un choc éventuel avec un véhicule, et sa remise en état après un choc est d'un coût raisonnable.
