ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A safety system for a vehicle having foot operated hydraulic controls consisting of a pivotal plate which activates a parking brake so that when the plate is in a lowered position the parking brake is set and the plate covers the hydraulic controls of the vehicle as well as being a foot rest, and when the plate is in upright position, the parking brake is released and access is obtained to the hydraulic controls.
