The invention relates to a safety bumper for a motor vehicle, notably a private motor vehicle, comprising a bumper base part (4) with a bumper bar (5) which is connected to a cross-bar (10) of the vehicle by way of an attachment (11), notably an energy-absorbing module (11). Above the attachment (11) and/or below same energy-absorbing elements (9; 32, 33, 41; 52, 60) or (17, 20; 38, 46; 64) are mounted which can be controlled by an impact sensor (6) and after actuation by said impact sensor (6) form a continuous contour with the front side of the bumper base part (4) above or below said bumper base part (4).

L'invention concerne un pare-chocs de sécurité destiné à un véhicule automobile, en particulier une voiture particulière, qui comporte un corps de base de pare-chocs (4) présentant une barre d'impact (5) qui est reliée, par l'intermédiaire d'une fixation (11), en particulier par un module d'absorption d'énergie (11), à une traverse (10) du véhicule. Au-dessus et/ou au-dessous de cette fixation (11) sont montés des éléments absorbant l'énergie (9; 32, 33, 41; 52, 60) ou (17, 20; 38, 46; 64) qui sont commandés par un capteur d'impact (6) et qui forment, après amorçage par le détecteur d'impact (6), respectivement au-dessus ou au-dessous du corps de base de pare-chocs (4), un contour continu avec la face avant dudit corps de base (4).
