SAFETY CIRCUIT FOR THE DRIVE MOTOR OF A TRACTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A safety circuit for a tractor and implement combination includes a first switch responsive to movement of a lever actuating the implement to an inoperative position and a second switch responsive to movement of a lever actuating the drive transmission to the tractor to a neutral position together with a seat switch responsive to the presence of the operator in the seat of the cab. The safety circuit allows the operator to start the machine only when the transmission is in neutral and the implement is decoupled. After the engine is started and running, the circuit prevents the operator from leaving the seat while the implement is engaged or the transmission is not in neutral. A timer is coupled to the seat switch circuit to allow temporary movement of the operator from the seat. A bypass switch on the implement drive allows the operator to leave the cab to observe the implement operating.
