ABSTRACT A safety control system for a metal forming machine having a vertically moving forming ram which cooperates with a stationary forming die for forming a variety of creases in sheet metal manipulated by an operator. The safety control system returns the forming ram to an in- active position in the event the operator inadvertently positions tool or limb between ram and die during machine operation.
