TITLE: A SAFETY DEVICE FOR A CEILING FAN ABSTRACT A safety device is provided in a ceiling fan which includes a motor and a mandrel disposed in a center of the motor. The ceiling fan is supported by a bracket which is fixed to a ceiling. The safety device is a cable. One end of the cable is fixed to the ceiling and the other end is fixed to the mandrel. The safety device holds the ceiling fan and prevents the ceiling fan from falling down accidentally when the bracket is loosened due to vibration of the ceiling fan.
