ABSTRACT An emergency braking apparatus for use with vehicles or trailers having dual coaxial wheels on either side thereof. The brake comprises a belt, one end of which is attached to the chassis at a suitable location so that the other, free, end when released, is run over by the inner of the dual wheels. The outer wheel remains in contact with the road, thus skidding is avoided.
