In an electric power equipment connected to an electrical power source, a defective ground conductor may result in a dangerous situation for a user. To prevent such a dangerous situation, the electric power equipment is provided with a safety electrical assembly having a safety switch mounted between the neutral conductor and the ground conductor of the electric power equipment. The safety electrical assembly also has a female plug provided with a ground socket connected to the ground wire of the power source, a neutral socket not connected to the neutral wire of the power source, and one or two power socket connected to one or two corresponding power wires of the power source. The female plug also has a relay having a normally open switch mounted in series with one of the power wires and a control coil mounted between the one power wire and the neutral socket, and a first light indicator mounted between a stationary contact of the relay and the ground wire in such a manner so as to be visible to the user.
Un appareil électrique sous tension dont le conducteur de mise à la terre est défectueux peut mettre en danger l'utilisateur. Pour éviter les risques, l'invention prévoit de doter l'appareil électrique d'un dispositif de sécurité électrique comprenant un interrupteur de protection monté entre le neutre et le conducteur de mise à la terre de l'appareil. Le dispositif de sécurité électrique comporte également un connecteur femelle dont la prise de terre est raccordée au conducteur de mise à la terre de la source d'alimentation, une prise de neutre non raccordée au neutre de la source d'alimentation et une ou deux prises d'alimentation raccordée(s) au(x) fil(s) d'alimentation correspondants de ladite source d'alimentation. Le connecteur femelle comprend également un relais comportant un contacteur normalement ouvert monté en série avec un des fils d'alimentation et une bobine de commande montée entre le fil d'alimentation précité et la prise de neutre, un premier témoin lumineux étant monté entre le contact fixe du relais et le conducteur de mise à la terre de façon à être visible par l'utilisateur.
