ABSTRACT A safety helmet comprises a main body, an overbody spaced from the overbody to form an air space between the two, an inner body within the main body, primary air vent apertures extending upwardly and outwardly through the inner and main bodies to the air space, and secondary air vent apertures extending upwardly and outwardly through the overbody, so that both the air within the main body, and within the air space between the main and over bodies, will vent by convection when heated.
