ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A safety indicator for vehicle, which indicates the actual status of the vehicle by lamps of various colors mount- ed at the head and tail of the vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, a photo-interrupter is used to control the actions of the indicator lamps and headlights sensing the location of the needle on the speedometer, and switches mounted on the accelerator and brake pedals respectively are used for further control. The lamps are serially connected with small bulbs provided on the instrument panel, respectively, so that the driver may check whether or not the indicator lamps and headlights are operating properly.
