SAFETY LOCK SYSTEM FOR CABINET WITH MULTIPLE DRAWERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement is provided in a piece of furniture having a cabinet with first and second drawers, each selec- tively slidable relative to the cabinet between an open position an a closed position. The improvement comprises a lock bar mounted to the cabinet for translatory movement relative to the cabinet in first and second opposite direc- tions between first and second positions, and cooperating structure on the look bar and first and second drawers for preventing simultaneous movement of the first and second drawers from their closed position to their open position.
