ABSTRACT This invention relates to a safety pipe coupling with a sealing ring for use in pipe connections. The sealing ring has an outer and inner forwardly converging conical front and two or more cutting edges on the inner surface having different diameters when the connection is completed. The sealing ring is inserted between a connecting piece which also has an inner conical surface, and a pressure member forming a screw cap. The sealing ring - when the connection is completed - has a limiting edge behind the conical converging front and in a direction behind the cutting edges at the inner surface. The limiting edge has a front surface vertical to the surface of the pipe and the limiting edge is followed by a cylindrical inner surface.
