TITLE: SAFETY SHOE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A safety shoe comprising a steel toe cap having an inwardly-turned flange which has a larger width at two ends and a smaller width at the central portion and also has a gradually decreasing thickness from the junction portion to the edge and a shorter upper rear portion relative to the lower portion. A polyethylene liner having a thin protruding strip and a wedge-shaped main body is annexed to the steel toe cap. A U-shaped pad, having a size and shape substantially matching the flange, and a lower insole, having a U-shaped cutout for retaining the U-shaped pad to form a level surface, are provided. In addition, a shoe lining and an upper insole, having three different layers, individually protect the feet from abrasion.
