ABSTRACT A safety ski binding comprises a stirrup mounted to a ski or a sole-plate. Articulated to the stirrup is a toggle mechanism including a spring biased holding member arranged to engage the edge of the sole of a ski boot. The holding member is displaceable in a direction toward the toggle to release the boot upon application of a predetermined minimum separating stress.
