ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mechanism is provided for adjusting the effective length of the cable in a ski binding having a sole plate re- leasably secured to a ski by means of at least one tensioned cable. The adjustment mechanism comprises a rotatable support mounted on the ski to which an end of the cable is secured. The rotatable support includes a ratchet and pawl arrangement whereby the position of the end of the cable may be manually regulated.
