ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a safety switch for a small transmission to prevent operation of an engine when the trans- mission is in gear. The transmission can have an H-shaped shift- ing pattern with the engine being capable of starting only when a gear shift lever of the transmission is in neutral. The switch is of low cost construction, utilizing a minimum number of parts and preferably being made mostly of plastic material.
