A syringe arranged for a single use is described. The syringe comprises a cylindrical body for holding a liquid therein, a nozzle for drawing up and ejecting the liquid and a plunger including a plunger head arranged for a sliding fit within the cylindrical body such that the plunger slides along the cylindrical body in an uptake direction for taking the liquid up into the cylindrical body and an expeldirection for ejecting the liquid from the cylindrical body. The syringe further includes either individually or any combination thereof: one-way locking means, a valve system, a stopper and a spring-loaded ball for preventing the syringe frombeing used more than once. Specifically, the one-way locking means is arranged to lock the plunger in place within the cylindrical body one the plunger has ejected the liquid. The one-way locking means may comprise a spring-loaded rib arranged to project inwardly from the cylindrical body proximal to the bottom ofthe cylindrical body. The stopper is arranged to prevent the plunger from beingseparated from the syringe. The spring-loaded ball is arranged, when released, to plug the nozzle as a result of suction generated when the plunger slides in the uptake direction, thereby preventing liquid from being drawn up. The valve system is arranged within the plunger head such that when the valve system is activated, air flows through the plunger head so that no suction is generated, thereby preventing liquid from being drawn up. Thus, any one of these features or any combination thereof may be used to prevent the syringe from being reused.
Seringue à utilisation unique constituée : d'un corps cylindrique lui permettant de contenir un liquide; d'une buse pour puiser et éjecter le liquide; d'un piston présentant une tête disposée pour un ajustement glissant à l'intérieur du corps cylindrique, afin que le piston glisse le long du corps cylindrique en direction d'assimilation du liquide vers le corps cylindrique, et en direction d'expulsion pour éjecter le liquide depuis le corps cylindrique. La seringue comprend aussi un des éléments suivants ou une combinaison de ceux-ci : un mécanisme de verrouillage en un seul sens; un clapet; un obturateur; une bille à éclipse empêchant la seringue de servir plus d'une fois. Plus précisément, le mécanisme de verrouillage en un seul sens sert à bloquer le piston à l'intérieur du corps cylindrique après que le piston ait éjecté le liquide. Ce mécanisme de verrouillage peut comprendre une nervure à ressort en saillie vers l'intérieur, depuis le corps cylindrique, de façon proximale par rapport au fond du corps cylindrique. Le piston sert à empêcher le piston d'être séparé de la seringue. La bille à éclipse sert, lorsqu'elle est relâchée, à obturer la buse suite à la succion entraînée lorsque le piston glisse en direction d'assimilation, empêchant ainsi le liquide de remonter. Le clapet est disposé dans la tête du piston de façon qu'une fois activé, ce clapet permet une entrée d'air à travers la tête pour empêcher qu'une succion n'ait lieu et pour éviter que le liquide ne remonte. N'importe quelle de ces fonctions ou combinaison de celles-ci peut ainsi servir à empêcher une réutilisation de la seringue.
