ABSTRACT A simplified, reliable safety system for a double-acting fluid-operated servomotor. The safety system comprises control means which in the event of a safety signal operate a shut-off valve. The control means include a selector which is connected to two cylinder chambers of the servomotor. The invention provides advance in the art by simplifying the structure of the safety system and increasing its reliability.
