A safety vest (100) is sized to be worn by a human, wherein the vest (100) has a front (102) and back (104) and left and right sides (106, 108) each having a shoulder portion (110, 112). An EL strip (132, 134) is provided on each side of the vest (100) extending from the bottom of the vest upwards toward the shoulder portion. A power source (150) is supported by the vest (100) and connected to the EL lamp strips (520, 522) to supply electrical energy to the strips so that they emit EL light, wherein the EL light emitted by the EL strip is a safety yellow color, and wherein other portions of the vest are a safety orange color. Further safety articles of clothing and devices are also described.
L'invention concerne une veste de sécurité (100) qui comporte un ventre (102) et un dos (104) et des côtés gauche et droit (106, 108) ayant chacun une épaule (110, 112). Une bande électroluminescente (132, 134) est établie de chaque côté de la veste (100) s'étendant depuis le bas de la veste vers le haut jusqu'à l'épaule. Une source d'alimentation (150) est intégrée à la veste (100) et reliée aux bandes électroluminescentes (520, 522) pour l'alimentation de ces bandes qui peuvent ainsi émettre une lumière jaune de sécurité. Les autres parties de la veste sont de couleur orange de sécurité. L'invention concerne également d'autres vêtements et dispositifs de sécurité.
