User confidentially requirements are achieved by the provision of a privacy screen. In the case of an electronic keyboard such as a sales terminal that is mounted upon a platform, the privacy screen may form a fixed portion or portions of the platform upon which the keyboard or keypad is mounted. A more flexible arrangement incorporates a privacy screen that may be rotated through a range of screening positions to conceal the users actions. This rotatable embodiment may be used for other applications, including telephone dialling, or other entry systems for confidential data, such as bank machines. The subject platform, in addition to being rotatable on its supporting mast may alsobe tiltable, to facilitate its use. The rotatable mast has a predetermined range of rotation, in excess of 180 degrees. The mast includes provision for containment of a connecting electrical cord in protected relation therein, with an access aperture at the head of the mast for passage of the connecting cord to the subject keypad.
