ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to salts of 3-hydroxy-4-oxo-3,4-dihydro- 1,2,3-benzotriazine (HOObt) and compounds containing a primary amino group, a process for their preparation and their use. The compounds of the invention may be used in the purification of amino compounds and in the preparation of carboxamides in the presence of carbodiimides.
