Abstract of the Disclosure: Block Polymers of vinyl- aromatics and conjugated dienes which possess acidic terminal groups and are in the form of salts which con- tain divalent or polyvalent metal cations or cation com- plexes. A process for the preparation of such salts of block polymers containing acid groups, and the use of these polymers as thermoplastic materials, as thermoplas- tic elastomers, for modifying thermoplastic materials, as viscosity index improvers in lubricating oils or as components in hot melt adhesives.
