Abstract of the Disclosure Secondary etheramine salts of the general formula Image I wherein R is long chain alkyl, cyclohexyl or aryl, X and Y are hydrogen or methyl, but are not both methyl at the same time, n is an integer of from 1 to 20, and A is an anion with the exception of the acetate ion. These salts are used as conditioning agents for synthetic fibers.
