A sampler (1) for extracting sample volumes of substantially single-phase fluid or gas from a fluid-flow system containing multi-phase fluids (3), said sampler (1) including; a collection recess (4) adapted to separate substantially single-phase fluid from said multi-phase fluid (3); an extraction outlet (8) in said collection recess (4); at least one fluid sensor system (5) capable of sensing the presence and/or state of said single-phase fluid or gas in the collection recess (4), a fluid controller (6) capable of controlling fluid or gas flow from the collection recess (4) via said extraction outlet (8), characterised in that said fluid sensor system (5) includes at least two distinct sensors respectively capable of utilising distinct properties of the fluid or gas to determine the presence and/or state of the sample volume present in the collection recess (4).

Cette invention concerne un échantillonneur (1) destiné à l'extraction de volumes d'échantillon d'un fluide ou d'un gaz sensiblement mono-phase à partir d'un système d'écoulement liquide contenant des fluides multi-phase (3). L'échantillonneur (1) comprend : une alvéole de collecte (4) conçue pour séparer sensiblement un fluide mono-phase dudit fluide multi-phase (3); une sortie d'extraction (8) située dans l'alvéole de collecte (4); au moins un système de détection de fluide (5) pouvant détecter la présence et/ou l'état dudit fluide ou gaz mono-phase dans l'alvéole de collecte (4), un collecteur de fluide (6) pouvant commander le flux de fluide ou de gaz hors de l'alvéole de collecte (4) via la sortie d'extraction (8), caractérisé en ce que le système de détection de fluide (5) comprend au moins deux détecteurs distincts capables respectivement d'utiliser des propriétés distinctes du fluide ou du gaz pour déterminer la présence et/ou l'état du volume d'échantillon présent dans l'alvéole de collecte (4).
