ABSTRACT A motor vehicle system which for dispensing sand, is provided with a refillable sand container, a sand channel (7) and a flap (15) that opens downwards and closes a sand outlet (14), and has a heating system (24) in the closing surfaces (26) of the flap (15) at the sand outlet (14). This consists, preferably, of an electrical wire heating element (25) that is provided in the closing surfaces (26) or in the walls of the sand outlet (14), on or in a gasket (16) between the flap (15) and the sand outlet (14). The heating system helps prevent the flap (15) freezing shut on account of road spray, snow and cold, and thus preserves the functional capability of the sanding system.
