ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shutoff valve for use on sandblasting equipment wherein the valve provides a fail safe positive closure of air and sand pressure stream at the nozzle where the operator is. The sand and air pressure stream provides a positive force on the valve assisting the closure and maintaining a tight seal against air and sand infiltration to the nozzle.
