ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A sanding or buffing attachment for a power tool has a resilient base section with abrasive or buffing material on its exterior. Securing plates sandwiching the base have co-operating stepped hollow spindle portions and securing means for engaging the resilient base, and holding the plates and base together with respect to one another. A member passes through the hollow spindle and end plates to allow the attachment to be secured in the chuck of a power tool.
