An improved sanding block (14) for sanding high and extended surfaces configured for use in combination with an attached pole (12). The sanding block (14) is round in shape and is rotationally mounted on a pole mount (16), that interfaces between the sanding block (14) and the pole (12), which attaches to a rotatable hub (24), of the pole mount, (16). This allows the sanding block (14) to rotate during use and the pole to be rotated to different angles in relation to the flat working surface of the sanding block, (14). Adjacent surface marring is prevented by the rotation of the sanding block , (14), upon contact of a side edge, (34) with such an adjacent surface. Optionally the pose mount, (16), can be locked to prevent rotation if desired and a barrel, (25), can provide an interface between the pole and the pole mount. This barrel can be straight, angled, or adjustable for angle, in the different preferred embodiments.

L'invention concerne une cale à poncer (14) perfectionnée destinée au ponçage de grandes surfaces, conçue pour être utilisée avec un manche (12).
