ABSTRACT an improved sanding device for road vehicles It is known that some large road vehicles are equipped with air compressors and a supply of sand which the driver can cause to be blown out towards the wheels in the event of a skid occurring on slippery road surfaces. This procedure is inefficient because time is lost in operating the control and because it is an added distraction to the driver. In this invention, if the driver applies the brakes of the moving vehicle and a skid develops, the device automatically deposits anti-skid material at the wheels. The power to accomplish this is supplied by the battery of the vehicle.
