A sanding disc (10) particularly useful for smoothing drywall. The sanding disc includes a circular abrasive disc (18) having an abrasive surface (19), and a circular foam disc (12) smaller in diameter than the abrasive disc which is co-axially adhered to the surface (20) of the abrasive disc opposite its abrasive surface. The abrasive disc has a circular central portion (32) along which the surface defined by the abrasive is generally planar, and has an annular peripheral portion (34) extending from its central portion to its peripheral surface (21) along which its surface defined by the abrasive is generally cylindrically convex to position the peripheral surface of the abrasive disc in a plane passing through the foam disc (12).

L'invention concerne un disque abrasif (10) servant notamment à lisser une cloison sèche. Ce disque est constitué d'un disque abrasif circulaire possédant une surface abrasive (19), et un disque en mousse circulaire (12) de diamètre inférieur à celui du disque abrasif qui adhère coaxialement à la surface (20) du disque abrasif à l'opposé de sa surface abrasive. Le disque abrasif comporte une portion centrale circulaire (32) le long de laquelle la surface définie par l'abrasif est généralement plane, ainsi qu'une portion périphérique annulaire (34) allant de la portion centrale vers la surface périphérique (21) le long de laquelle la surface définie par l'abrasif est généralement cylindriquement convexe afin de positionner la surface périphérique du disque abrasif dans un plan passant à travers le disque en mousse (12).
