SANITARY TOILET SEAT COVER DISPENSING MACHINE Abstract of the Disclosure The disclosure teaches a sanitary seat cover dispensing apparatus for a toilet seat. The apparatus is housed in a cabinet which can be mounted over the toilet seat. Disposed on one side of the toilet seat in the cabinet is a supply roll of clean toilet seat covers. Disposed on the other side of the toilet seat and parallel with the supply roll is a rotatable take-up reel, and a means for rotating the rotatable take-up reel. In accordance with the invention, the means for rotating consists of a pedal wheel rotatably mounted on a side wall of the cabinet and a clutch means mounted at the hub of the pedal wheel. A pedal is mounted, at one end thereof, on the clutch means, and the free end of the pedal extends upwardly of the hub and through and outwardly of an end wall of the cabinet. A drive wheel is connected to the pedal wheel by a chain so that the drive wheel will rotate with the pedal wheel, and the drive wheel is connected to the take-up reel. When the free end of the pedal is moved downwardly, it will cause the pedal wheel, and thereby the drive wheel, to rotate so that the strip of toilet seat covers will be wrapped around the take-up reel and unwrapped from the supply roll. When the free end of the pedal moves upwardly, the clutch will slip so that the pedal wheel will remain stationary. Thus, by the downward movement of the free end of the pedal, the clean toilet seat cover can replace a used toilet seat cover. - 1 -
