SASH BALANCE FOOT SEAL MECHANISM ABSTRACT There is provided a foot seal member for sealing the space between each side of a window sash and the adjacent window jamb or jamb liner in a window that includes a sash balance mechanism. The foot seal member is engageable by the sash balance mechanism and includes a body of resilient material that is carried by the sash and which is shaped to seal the space between the jamb and the sash. A spring connected to the foot seal member and the sash biases the foot seal member into sealing engagement with the sash when the foot seal is installed on the window. A surface of the foot seal member may be coated with a low friction coating, and the foot seal member is disposed in sliding engagement with a surface of the jamb.
