The tracking control apparatus (20) for a mobile-type satellite-broadcast receiving antenna which is installed on mobile body detects the level of a radio wave received by the antenna (AT), and repeatedly rotating, on the basis of this detected received signal level, the antenna over a certain angle at higher rotation velocity as increment of the received signal level per unit angle associated with the preceding rotation becomes larger, thereby controlling the rotation angle of the antenna (100). Within a period in which the received signal level is larger than a threshold, the rotation angle of the antenna is held at the current value and the received signal level is monitored (200). When the received signal level is reduced to be less than the threshold, the angular velocity of the mobile body and its integrated value are detected (7, 8), and if either one of the values is significant, the angular error in the turning operation of the mobile body is regarded as having increased, and the antenna is controlled for its rotation angle (100). If both the values are not significant, the increase of the angular error is considered as having been suddenly caused by an obstacle, and the control apparatus waits for the received signal level to be restored to a proper value (300).

L'appareil de commande de poursuite (20) pour une antenne mobile recevant les émissions des satellites installée sur une unité mobile détecte le niveau d'une onde radio reçue par l'antenne (AT) et fait tourner à maintes reprises l'antenne sur un angle donné, en fonction du niveau du signal reçu détecté, avec une vitesse de rotation qui augmente proportionnellement à l'accroissement de l'incrément du niveau du signal reçu par unité d'angle associé avec la rotation précédente, afin de commander l'angle de rotation de l'antenne (100). Au cours d'une période pendant laquelle le niveau du signal reçu dépasse un seuil, l'angle de rotation de l'antenne est maintenu à la valeur courante et le niveau du signal reçu est contrôlé (200). Lorsque le niveau du signal reçu devient inférieur au seuil, la vitesse angulaire de l'unité mobile et sa valeur intégrée sont détectées (7, 8) et, si l'une ou l'autre des valeurs est significative, on considère que l'erreur angulaire lors de l'opération de rotation de l'unité mobile a augmenté, et l'angle de rotation (100) de l'antenne est modifié. Si les deux valeurs ne sont pas significatives, on considère que l'augmentation de l'erreur angulaire a été provoquée par l'interposition soudaine d'un obstacle, et l'appareil de commande attend que le niveau du signal reçu se rétablisse à une valeur correcte (300).
