Abstract The invention relates to a saw and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the invention the saw has cutting edges (22) and points (21) which consist of punching burr (18) formed by punching with a punching tool movable in an oblique angle to the surface of the saw blade blank, and the saw is manu- factured by punching the teeth on a saw blade blank (16) by means of a punching tool (15), which moves in an oblique angle to the surface of the saw blade blank. (Fig. 7)
