ABSTRACT A saw cable for a cable saw for cutting natural rock or stone, masonry or the like. Cutting beads (2) provided with cutting grain, for example diamond, are provided at spacings from each other on a metal cable (1). Spacer sleeves (3) of castable or injection-mouldable material are disposed between the cutting beads (2), the diameter of the spacer sleeves being smaller than the diameter of the cutting beads (2). The spacer sleeves (3) have annular lands (4'), the diameter of which is the same as the diameter of the cutting beads (2). (Figure 1)
