A compact tile saw (2) which is especially adaptable for cutting of large- sized tiles wherein the table (82) supporting the tile is moveable towards the cutting saw (2), while at the same time the cutting saw (2) is positionable in one of two positions of either being stationary or in moving in unison towards the table (82) supporting the tile to be cut.
