Abstract of Disclosure A sawing machine having rollers which guide the log in lateral direction and feed it, the log being fed upon a transporting chain between and under these rollers to the sawblades of the saw machine, such as circular saws of a band saw, and wherein there is above the 109 a stay- ing chain staying the log by means of staying spikes acting on the log's surface. Previously known saw machines of this kind have the drawback that even minimal crookedness of the log causes uneven and unaesthetic saw- cuts. The saw machine of the invention is characterized in that the feed chain below the log carries sup- porting members which support the log at a plurality of points and maintain its unchanged position.
