A connector (12) for use in assembling a sawhorse (6). The sawhorse has an elongate cross member (11) and four elongate leg members (13) joined together using two connectors. Each connector or is manufactured from a tubular center sleeve (7) having a bottom wall and defining an interior passage having a longitudinal axis.
