Method and safety device for a breaking saw chain, wherein the safety device (7) comprises a protective wall (9) positioned in the vicinity of the drive gear (4) drawing the saw chain (6) in such a manner that it is capable of receiving the movement of the tail of the broken saw chain and to guide said tail in a controlled manner with the rest of the saw chain into the desired direction, wherein at the same time the strong swinging movement of said tail is prevented, and said protective wall is fas~tened to movable members (3) that are arranged to hold the protective wall (9) in the correct location during sawing in relation to the saw chain (6) whose incoming direction (B) varies during the operation. In particular, the protective device is placed in a sawing apparatus (1) comprising a frame part (2), a holder (3) for a guide bar, means (4, 5) for driving the saw chain (6) and for per~forming the sawing, as well as means for moving the protective wall (9) in phase with the guide bar holder (3), wherein said means are preferably implemented by using the guide bar holder (3).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de sécurité en cas de rupture de chaîne. Le dispositif de sécurité (7) comprend une paroi de protection (9), placée à proximité de l'engrenage d'entraînement (4) entraînant la chaîne (6) de manière à pouvoir recevoir l'extrémité de la chaîne rompue et de guider cette extrémité de façon contrôlée avec le reste de la chaîne dans la direction voulue. Cette paroi permet également d'empêcher le mouvement puissant de balayage de l'extrémité, et est fixée à des éléments (3) mobiles placés de manière à retenir la paroi (9) dans sa position correcte, pendant le sciage, par rapport à la chaîne (6) dont la direction d'entrée (B) varie pendant l'utilisation. Le dispositif de protection est placé en particulier dans un appareil de sciage (1) qui comprend une partie cadre (2) ; un élément de retenue (3) pour barre de guidage ; des moyens (4, 5) pour entraîner la chaîne (6) et mettre en oeuvre le sciage ; et des moyens pour déplacer la paroi de protection (9) en phase avec l'élément de retenue (3) de barre de guidage, lesdits moyens étant de préférence mis en place à l'aide de l'élément de retenue (3).
