Storage of a bulk material by build-up longitudinal pile is the most common methods of the mining industry. The machine used for this purpose is named pile builder or stacker. Usually, the machine used for this purpose comprises following components: a. Portal (carrying structure). b. System of driven wheels for traveling the machine along the stockyard. c. One or two boom conveyors. d. Boom lifting arrangement/s. e. Distributing/directing chute. f. Tripper conveyor. A Bulk Material carried by a yard conveyor is lifted by tripper conveyor to the top platform of the pile builder and then discharged to the diverter installed inside of the Distributing/directing chute. From there the handled bulk material is transferred to one of the boom conveyors and handled to the pile. The traveling system of the machine allows to the pile builder continuous build-up of the pile longitudinally (along the stockyard). All above mentioned components and functions are designed by each supplier differently. As result of it, each machine despite principal similarity has different shape, characteristics, and performance.
