ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a new scaffolding system, and in particular to a new metal scaffolding system. The system com- prises a plurality of horizontal, diagonal and vertical scaffold- ing elements and a means for connecting the elements. A connect- ing flange comprising a circular disc having holes therein is provided for connecting the horizontal or diagonal elements to the vertical element. The system provides a connecting shoe wherein a flat lug projects outwardly from the shoe and is offset at an angle of about 135°. The system provides a much more secure and compact system when compared to the prior art and allows for diagonal bracing when required.
