A composition containing an anionic organic polymer, a polyphosphate, and an organophosphonic acid, where these three components of the composition are present in a combined amount synergistically effective for controlling the formation of inorganic scales in an aqueous system. Also provided is a method for controlling the formation of inorganic scales on surfaces in an aqueous system. The aqueous system is contacted with a composition comprising an anionic organic polymer, a polyphosphate, and an organophosphonic acid. These three components are present in a combined amount synergistically effective for controlling the formation of inorganic scales in the aqueous system.

L'invention concerne une composition contenant un polymère organique anionique, un polyphosphate et un acide organophosphonique, ces trois ingrédients de la composition étant présents dans des proportions sélectionnées pour produire un effet de synergie et empêcher la formation de dépôts minéraux dans des systèmes aqueux. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour empêcher la formation de dépôts minéraux sur les surfaces de systèmes aqueux. Le système aqueux est mis en contact avec une composition contenant un polymère organique anionique, un polyphosphate et un acide organophosphonique. Ces trois ingrédients sont présents dans des proportion sélectionnée pour produire un effet de synergie et empêcher la formation de dépôts minéraux dans des systèmes aqueux.
