A technique for marking pixels on workpieces by routing a scanned beam to different marking stations to mark individual pixels on the workpieces (14). A diffractive scan lens (82, 84, 86) focuses the beam (22). A mark (12) is formed on a workpiece (14) by producing the mark and curing the mark. Angular position of a scanning mirror (76) in a raster scanner is determined by moving a beam, reflected from the scanner (76), across rulings on a optical element during scanning. A print head (24) for printing spots on a surface of a workpiece (14) has a walled, internally pressurized chamber and structure for causing an inked web (25) to conform to a contour of the chamber wall and to be pulled along the chamber wall. A print head has a compliant-walled, internally pressurized chamber. A print head (24) has a chamber having a low- coefficient of friction coating. Two workpieces may be marked at two marking stations by two-directional scanning.
La présente invention, qui concerne une technique d'inscription de pixels sur des pièces, consiste à diriger un faisceau à balayage vers différents postes de marquage, afin d'inscrire sur les pièces des pixels distincts, le faisceau étant focalisé au moyen d'une lentille à diffraction. La réalisation du marquage comprend une phase d'inscription de la marque et une phase de durcissage de la marque. Pour déterminer la position angulaire d'un miroir à balayage de dispositif de balayage à réseau, on fait bouger un faisceau réfléchi par le dispositif de balayage de façon à croiser, grâce au balayage, des lignes tracées sur un élément optique. La tête d'impression utilisée pour l'inscription des points sur une surface d'une pièce comporte une chambre intérieurement pressurisée, et une structure permettant de forcer un ruban encreur à épouser les contours de la paroi de la chambre et à défiler le long de la paroi de la chambre. La tête d'impression dont la chambre est intérieurement pressurisée présente des parois déformables. La chambre de cette tête d'impression est pourvue d'un revêtement à faible coefficient de friction. Le marquage des pièces peut se faire dans deux postes de marquage grâce à un dispositif à balayage bidirectionnel.
