A scanning apparatus comprises two rotatable bodies (1, 10 or 40) arranged to rotate in opposite directions. The first body being a polariser (10) and the second being a mirror (1) or a second polariser (40). The apparatus is arranged to define an optical path for a polarised beam, wherein the optical path passes through the first body (10), is reflected at the second body (1 or 40), and is reflected by the first body (10) back to the second body (1 or 40) from where it is transmitted or reflected to produce a linear scan. There is also disclosed a scanning system comprising a reflector (1) and an optical wedge (42) containing refractive materials, arranged to counter rotate and arranged so that a beam passing through the optical wedge (42), is reflected by the reflector (1) and passes back through the optical wedge (42) to produce a linear scan.
L'invention porte sur un appareil à balayage comprenant deux corps rotatifs (1, 10 ou 40) disposés de façon à tourner dans des directions opposées. Le premier corps est un polariseur (10) et le second un miroir (1) ou un autre polariseur (40). L'appareil est agencé de façon à définir un chemin optique pour un faisceau polarisé. Le chemin optique traverse le premier corps (10), est renvoyé au niveau du second corps (1 or 40), et est renvoyé par le premier corps (10) vers le second (1 or 40) d'où il est transmis ou réfléchi pour produire un balayage linéaire. L'invention porte également sur un système à balayage comprenant un réflecteur (1) et un coin photométrique (42) contenant des matériaux réfractaires disposés de façon à effectuer une contre-rotation et de sorte qu'un faisceau traversant le coin photométrique (42) soit réfléchi par le réflecteur (1) et retraverse le coin photométrique (42) pour produire un balayage linéaire.
