cDNA encoding three novel scavenger receptors CSR1, CSR2, and CSR3 obtaiend from a cDNA libray originating in human fetal brain using a human genomic DNA capable of binding (reacting) to a tumor-inhibitory protein p53 as a probe. Each novel scavenger receptor has a protein secondary structure characteristic of macrophage scavenger receptors and its expression is induced depending on various intracellular stresses. Moreover, these receptors have inhibitory effects on cell death induced by these stresses.

L'invention concerne des ADNc qui codent trois nouveaux récepteurs accepteurs dénommés CSR1, CSR2 et CSR3, et que l'on a obtenus à partir d'une banque d'ADNc provenant d'un cerveau foetal humain en utilisant l'ADN génomique humain ayant le pouvoir (réactivité) de se fixer, comme une sonde, sur une protéine p53 inhibitrice de tumeurs. Chaque nouveau récepteur accepteur possède une structure secondaire de protéine, caractéristique des récepteurs accepteurs macrophages, et son expression est induite en fonction de divers stress intracellulaires. En outre, ces récepteurs possèdent des effets inhibiteurs sur la mort cellulaire induite par ces stress.
